Akshaya Patra feeds over 5 million kids in Andhra Pradesh

Hyderabad, Nov 24 : The Akshaya Patra Foundation (APF),one of the largest NGO-run school meal programmes, today announced the Trust had fed over five million children across 94 government schools in its first year of operations in Andhra Pradesh.

In a statement, APF Vice Chairman Chanchalpati Dasa said, ”In Andhra Pradesh, our journey has been very good and we look forward to expand our reach and feed more children across the State.

” We thank all our donors, well wishers and the State Government for their unrelenting support.

”Our fully automated and technology intensive kitchens help us in improving our efficiency and serving more meals per day,” he added.

APF has set up two kitchens in Andhra Pradesh — one at Medak District situated 100 km to the north of Hyderabad and the other at Vishakhapatnam.
